Before launching Alfred Street Partners, Bill was a Managing Director (MD) on Scotia Howard Weil’s Energy Service equity research team, covering public companies across the full market cap spectrum. Bill also served concurrently as Head of Research for the firm, overseeing a staff of 15 analysts. Later, he held the role of MD, U.S. Energy Service, within Scotiabank’s Global Investment Banking group. Additionally, Bill worked in the e-mobility sector, serving as both Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Head of Business Development.

While at Howard Weil, Bill helped lead an employee purchase of the firm from Citigroup (NYSE: C) and, as an equity partner, served on the board of directors until its sale to The Bank of Nova Scotia (NYSE: BNS)—an experience that sharpened his perspective on ownership, governance, and value creation from both sides of the table.

Bill received a BS in Accounting from Louisiana State University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas. He is an active member of LSU's E.J. Ourso College of Business Dean's Advisory Council.
